Clearly labels all items and where they belong
Some things to consider when you need support staff in your home:
- Families worry about their personal possessions, jewelry, and heirlooms
- Those with dementia tend to hide (even throw away without realizing) their most treasured items
- Caregivers and housekeepers get blamed for things that are out of place or missing
- Family and friends are hurt if the owner forgets why or when they were given something
You receive three versions that serve three unique functions:
1. The My Status Quo Home Catalog :
- A very detailed log of every item in your home and where it belongs
- Display this copy and show it to everyone who works in your home
- If something is given away, note it here and in The Organizer copy to avoid the common accusations almost every caregiver and family deals with
2. The Organizer - a ledger size copy:
- Larger images with room to record memories, value, provenance
- Room to write the destination of each item, and moving details
3. The Catalog Digital File:
- This file is to send to family and/or friends so they can view items in their own homes
- You decide the final destinations of each item
- Send the altered file to auction or estate companies
- It’s easy to see what’s left to be donated
- You have just relieved your loved ones from the countless hours and stress of allocating everything!
” What a relief it has been to know that the digital copy has been sent to my kids and grandkids. I sent them a nice letter asking them to pick what they wanted or needed. It may seem morbid to them, but I know that this took so much stress off of them when I pass away, now the list shows my POA who gets what, and the rest can be easily shown to an auction house. My POA’s job just got so much easier!”
”I had this catalog made for my Mom who has dementia, when the housekeeper found a vase in the laundry bin, she called me. She was able to put the vase back where it belonged and we knew immediately that Mom’s cognition had worsened.”
” My catalog creator was very professional, neat and tidy! I had the catalog back earlier than I expected!”
