Few people get to see the differences between aging in a facility and aging at home. Even fewer are able to dedicate their time to share that insight like a whistle-blower. Exposing what facilities do not want you to know. Our founder, Michele High started to expose this information while she lived in Washington, D.C. She tells the story of a friend of hers, who at 92 years old and legally blind, walked away from her $300k non-refundable deposit to the Independent Living Facility she called home for 15 years, to purchase a two bedroom condo in Friendship Heights and live out the rest of her years with a private caregiver and the freedom to come and go as she pleased.
